Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By creating an account you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Craves. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) and, if under 18, have a parent’s permission.
2. The service
Craves suggests restaurants based on information you provide and your feedback, supports group decisions with friends, and lets you log and share meals. Recommendations are suggestions, not guarantees. Allergy and dietary filters rely on data from third parties and other users and may be wrong or out of date. Always confirm with the restaurant before eating if you have an allergy or a strict dietary requirement.
3. Your account
Keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person. You may delete your account at any time in Settings or at craves.studio/delete-account.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, notes and other content you post. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share that content within Craves as directed by your visibility settings, and to create your personal statistics and recap. Do not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing, or that reveals other people’s private information. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
5. Friends and groups
Group decisions use each member’s saved dietary filters without revealing who set them. Do not add people to groups to harass them. Anyone can leave a group at any time.
6. Third-party data
Restaurant details, ratings and opening hours come from Google Maps Platform (subject to Google’s terms and attribution), Foursquare OS Places and OpenStreetMap contributors. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party data or for the restaurants themselves.
7. Acceptable use
No scraping, reverse engineering, automated access, or attempts to extract our catalogue or other users’ data. No use of Craves to promote a business without our written agreement.
8. Availability and changes
Craves is provided “as is” during its pilot. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We aim to give notice of material changes.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Craves is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any damages exceeding the greater of USD 50 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
10. Termination
You may stop using Craves at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Consumers in the EU/UK keep the protections of their local law.
